Internet data charges to increase on Monday – MTN announces

Africa’s largest mobile network operator MTN has notified its customers of the increase in internet data charges effective November 14th.

Ghanaians got a notification from MTN today announcing their plans to increase the prices of their data charges on Monday 14th.

In a text message broadcasted to customers a few hours ago, the telecommunication company urged customers to be ready for the hike in prices of their data charges.

The messages read, “Dear Valued customer, kindly be informed that effective 14th November 2022, data bundle prices will be revised upwards. Enjoy a 50% bonus on bundle purchase (4G) only and remember MTN Data bundles do not expire.”

It seems the depreciation of the dollar and the hike in the dollar has also affected the business of telecommunication hence have decided to increase their internet data charges.

This sudden announcement from MTN has gotten a lot of Ghanaians panicking.
