A shocking story of how a man callously killed his girlfriend and slept with the dead body for almost a week has become topical on the internet.
The incident which obviously has ritualistic inclination reportedly happened in Nigeria and has been confirmed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin.
The man who committed the dastardly act has been identified as Ifeanyi Njoku, and according to the police, he was was arrested for murdering his 24-year-old girlfriend, Precious Okeke.
A source told the police what transpired and this was reshared by Instablog9ja;
“I moved out of the apartment two weeks ago and Njoku moved in. I was told he is the quiet and secretive type. It was the stench from his apartment that forced his neighbors to report to the estate management and the police were invited.
The police detectives arrived at the scene and a decomposing corpse was found. It was learned that he killed the girl about six days ago and he confessed that he wanted to use the girl for money rituals. He said he was told by a herbalist that he should have six with his girlfriend’s corpse for seven days, but he was caught on the sixth day— Sunday— and arrested on Monday, April 11.
He was whisked to the Lamgbasa Police Station and during interrogation, he confessed to the crime. He also revealed he brought his girlfriend from the village.”
