The Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, widely known as Chairman Wontumi has revoked his decision to purchase the English football club, Chelsea FC.
It would be vividly recalled that Chairman Wontumi made his intentions known to be the new owner of the football club after it was placed on the market for sale following some issues currently facing the management of the team and its owner, Roman Abramovich.
Chairman Wontumi released an official statement to affirm his interest in buying the football club and running it himself as his personal business, thereby taking charge of anything that has to do with the club. He was officially added to the list of people who have made their intentions known to purchase the club.
Well, Chairman Wontumi speaking in an interview with the lifestyle and celebrity blogger, Zionfelix made a U-turn about his previous decision to buy the football club.
According to him, his lawyers and the financial team have already met with the team’s agents and upon discussions, it appears there is more to the team than what has been communicated to the public.
He explained that the team owes its owner, Roman Abramovich a huge sum of money as well as some other expenses that will come along with the deal which was never communicated to the public.
Wontumi said that he was advised by his legal team and his financial team to denounce his decision to buy the team and focus on other businesses that would yield more profit because, in business law, every businessman wants to win.
