HELICOPTER FORCED TO MAKE EMERGENCY LANDING AT AJUMAKO KOKOBEN DUE TO BAD WEATHER
Residents of Ajumako Kokoben in the Central Region were met with unusual scenes this afternoon when a helicopter made an emergency landing at the town park, reportedly due to adverse weather conditions.
The aircraft, identified as 9G-ADW, was carrying four passengers when it was forced to land after encountering poor visibility and turbulent weather en route. The incident drew large crowds of curious locals, who gathered at the scene to catch a glimpse of the unexpected event.
After spending about an hour on the ground, the helicopter was able to resume its journey once weather conditions improved.
This emergency landing comes in the wake of heightened public concern following an earlier military helicopter crash in the Ashanti Region, which claimed the lives of eight, including top government officials.
No injuries were reported in today’s emergency landing, and the situation was swiftly managed without incident.
