FIFA CONFIRMS VENUE CHANGE FOR GHANA VS CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC MATCH

FIFA has confirmed that Ghana’s 2026 World Cup qualifying match against the Central African Republic will now be played at the Stade d’Honneur de Meknès in Morocco on Tuesday, October 8, 2025.

The game was originally scheduled for El Jadida, but CAR, who do not have a FIFA-approved stadium, continue to host their home matches in Morocco.

Officials for the match have also been announced. Patrice Milazare from Mauritius will serve as the referee, with Louis Ralph Fabien Cauvelet from Mauritius and Shaji Padayachy from Seychelles as assistant referees. Noris Aaron Godfrey Arissol from Seychelles will act as the fourth official. Fatou Gaye from Senegal has been appointed as referee assessor, Jamal Kaouachi from Morocco as match commissioner, and Efughu Odochi Joan from Nigeria as security officer.

After facing CAR, the Black Stars will return to Ghana to host Comoros in their final group game at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, October 12.

Ghana needs four points from these two fixtures to secure qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
