BANKER SUES MECHANIC AFTER SECURING ₵16,700 LOAN TO BUY ENGINE, GEARBOX YET CAR WON’T START
A banker, Benjamin Ohene Ofori, has taken legal action against a mechanic after securing a ₵16,700 loan to purchase an engine and gearbox for his vehicle, only for the car to remain unrepaired.
According to court documents, Mr. Ofori entrusted the mechanic with the full amount to fix his vehicle, expecting prompt repairs after the parts were allegedly procured. However, months later, the car is still grounded, leading the banker to seek redress in court.
Despite the payment, the car remains unrepaired, prompting the legal action.
Proceedings are currently underway, and the court is expected to determine whether the mechanic failed to deliver on his contractual obligations.
