3 IN POLICE CUSTODY OVER FOOTBALL MATCH VIOLENCE THAT LEFT ASANTE KOTOKO FAN DEAD

The Ghana Police Service has detained three persons related to the violent incidents that occurred during a football game between Nsoatreman FC and Kumasi Asante Kotoko FC on February 2, 2025, in Nsoatre, Bono Region.
The turmoil resulted in the unfortunate death of an individual.
In a declaration on Monday, February 3rd, the police named the suspects as Ignatius Baffour Awuah, Agyemang Duah Owusu, and Kyeremeh Joseph. 

The agency responsible for law enforcement verified.

“All three suspects are currently in Police custody assisting the investigation.”

The statement further disclosed

“A search conducted in the room of suspect Agyemang Duah Owusu led to the retrieval of two dresses with suspected bloodstains and an MP 23 pistol with 15 rounds of ammunition.”
