The police have reportedly rescued a young woman from an angry mob after she allegedly killed her husband with her obsession with sex.
A yet-to-be-identified woman is said to have been rescued from an angry mob in Aguleri, Anambra State. who wanted to lynch her for allegedly being the cause of her husband’s death due to her obsession with sex.
According to the police, the yet-to-be-identified woman who they rescued was accused of killing her husband with “overdose” of sex by her in-laws. In a video sighted online, the wife who was stripped naked was seen seated by the lifeless body of the husband which members of the community verbally attacked her.
According to a statement by the state police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga, “The Anambra State Police operatives have today, 12/3/2022, rescued a female victim from an angry mob in Aguleri.
The rescue was as a result of a report from a trending video where a lady was publicly molested and assaulted over an alleged incident that resulted in the death of her husband.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Echeng Echeng, while describing the act as barbaric, states that one suspect is already in custody and ordered an immediate study of the video with the aim to identify the suspects, arrest and bring them to book.
Further information reveals that the deceased had already been buried before the video started trending. The victim was rescued and she is currently receiving medical care in the hospital. More development shall be communicated please.
