Fatal Acc!dent On Peki Highway Killed 6 Including Two Police Officers

As many innocent people continue to die on our roads as a result of driver and pedestrian irresponsibility as well as the poor condition of motorable road networks, the carnage on our roadways is becoming more and more severe on a daily basis.

A tragic piece of news has reached the Ghanaian people, revealing that two young police officers from the Peki police command in the Volta region lost their lives in the line of duty.

Constable Dadzie and Corporal Quansah, both of the Peki Police Station, were on their way to the Police checkpoint at Opokuase, near Asikuma junction, when a Ford Transit bus swerved into the other lane and collided with their APSONIC motorcycle, killing them instantly.

The two [2] Galant policemen, as well as four [4] other passengers aboard the bus, perished on the scene, while other passengers had varying degrees of injury and were sent to the hospital.

Rest in peace, fallen companions, and may their sweet souls rest in peace for all time.
