The information was brought to the limelight by the people of Effie Nkwanta, where the statue was located.

In pictures flying at a fast rate across social media platforms, one could see that indeed, the statue has been vandalized.

This comes following the swearing in of the incumbent president, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.
